There has been a lot of discussion lately about whether or not brands should be on Twitter. Quite frankly I really enjoy and appreciate some of the brands that I follow on Twitter because they give me news about their brand without me having to go find it.

Pepsi, zero updates. Considering how active Pepsi is in the marketing arena, right now their Twitter account is probably just a placeholder for when the soft drink giant is really ready to tweet. Harley-Davidson, one update. Same deal. Same strategy. Just like owning your domain, make sure you own your Twitter account. Or some day you’ll wish you did.
